In Australia our houses are usually geared towards being comfortable to deal with the heat.

One winter, a visitor from Michigan pointed out “why is everywhere so frigid here?” Made me laugh at first then when I thought about it from her point of view it made sense.

We have a milder winter compared with Michigan and for the most part all we do is add more clothing, rug up or chuck on a small heater to sit around. Rarely is the whole house heated.

It’s why travelling and meeting people from all walks of life interests me so much.
