I slipped into codependency unknowingly with my partner’s drinking over our 20 plus years together.

When I think I have shed the layers a little glint reappears… a fine line to be sure. Blurry so very blurry for me when it comes to “him”, “me”, “us” the “us” that includes two young daughters .

I am still finding the damn costume has not fully been released.

Am I a villian… or am I just me?! Labels labels easy to apply… the surface judgement they leave remains even when the label is seemingly consciously dismissed.
