I was christened a Roman Catholic but our family was never a regular at Church beyond Weddings, Christenings and Funerals.

My Nan shunned from the church in a moment of life she needed them the most. Her husband dying and being left to support seven children in a world that excluded women from participating in the market garden trade by boycotting their goods…she had at least food to feed them, but no funds left to “donate”… she was no longer welcome.

The story stayed with my family. Understanding times have changed but the mindset had been changed… I have only began to discover and reconnect spiritually in these last few years.

As you said… the most growth happening with moments of solitude and silence.
