Me too, Sumera.

The delay in diagnosis is extreme, especially in your own case. I can almost hear the words used to brush off concerns...

I remember one doctor telling me "what would you know, you are a girl wearing jeans?" when I was 17 years old...he suspected I was pregnant, which I knew for a fact I wasn't...and I wasn't!

The fact that we own our bodies, and live with them everyday, should be warranted as "knowing" on some level when something isn't right.

Thank you for raising the awareness by sharing your story and knowledge about Lupus.

Thank you for being you.
