I remember dropping to a four day week at one stage and continued to keep up and deliver more than other members on the team. The extra day gifted me more energy and focus for my work when I was there.
When my boss at the time showed me the stats, I wondered why it was the norm to base pay on an hourly rate. Since I was still finding my voice, I said nothing.
Their gratitude was still a plus.
