Thank you for sharing… your family’s story touches my heart and soul on so many levels.
It took me back to the moment I saw my father cry for the first time. My youngest brother was a young teenager and had just been tackled by police and put in a straight jacket. The effects of the drugs he was on coupled with the size of him rendered him a risk to others and himself.
He was lucky. He stopped with those drugs after that incident and being in lockup in juvenile detention for a few days.
His story with the law and other substances didn’t end there but it never got as intense.
My heart breaks for the ripples of consequences of life choices.
A single toke for some is all it takes.
I struggle to understand the why.
The gold I will cherish ….The beautiful memories, words and heart your brother has gifted you and now us all through your sharing.
Thank you.
Thank you for being you.
