Yes! Thank you for writing this much needed piece.

Having 2 daughters myself I often encounter the challenge of how to present these ideas to them amidst society’s prescription.

Grandparents, school friends, marketing, shows, shops all give me vast opportunities to practice this!

Even lego has been tinged with the pink. The kits aimed towards girls are in my view, are “easier” than the kits aimed at boys.

My eldest is very much seduced by the “pink” but she will join her sister at times in the shed playing with tins of nuts and bolts and old tools. I hope by presenting and modelling a balanced perspective and access to more gender neutral toys her own perspective will balance out.
